A huge chat and life update from May to October

Hey and welcome back to my blog!

I'm so sorry i've been gone for literally months but i've had so much happen that've had no time to even think let alone write a blog post. However, there is no excuse and I hope to be back again for good this time. I've got so much to catch you guys up on so please feel free to grab a cup of whatever you fancy and i'll let you all know what's been going on.

It is with great sadness...
So, i'd be lying if I sat here and said I had the greatest few months because it wasn't like that before the summer. Near the end of my third year at university, one of old school friends passed away from cancer. Normally I don't really like to tell people the not so nice things that happen but things happen in life and it's best to show you that life is not a bunch of roses one hundred percent of the time. I can't thank the university enough for allowing me to come home early as well as to have an extension on my dissertation. This meant I was able to complete my degree as well as deal with what had happened and to celebrate his life with everyone who knew and shared his life with him.

I have a new blog design!
On a lighter note, I finally did the one thing I've been wanting to do for ages and get my blog re-designed! Now, the whole process is a blog post in itself and I definitely underestimated how much you need to considered when having your blog re-done. If you want to know more about this I will definitely answer your questions but I don't want this blog post to be the length of a book (ha!). So, how did I come up with the design? well the lovely and amazing talented Giada from Miel Cafe Design completely worked her magic and created this page into a work of art, after countless emails and me changing my mind every five minutes (that girl has the patience of a saint!). If you are looking for a website/blog designer I highly recommend them and her so please go and check them out here

Nobody likes you when you're 23...
Yes, that's right - I turned a year older, another year wiser (kind of!) and I celebrated it with a lot of food and drink, you know as you should do. During the day I went to Daylesford Organic Farm and then I went to Zizzi in the evening. I don't really have a lot to say about this really, apart from I got extremely spoilt and I ate a lot of food, just celebrating the right way. I'm also currently burning the candle that I got on my birthday, which is great as I'll always have a scent that reminds me of my 23rd birthday. Here's to the next year of my life.

Promotion at work
During my time at university, I used to work for LUSH during the holidays. After I finished university a few months ago, I decided to go back there and I got promoted to supervisor at the end of August. I was so happy about this as it gave me the chance to take on more responsibility and to be more involved within the company. Obviously with a new job comes a lot of new stuff to learn but I think i'm picking it up quite quickly!

Lots of love,
At the beginning of September, I watched my friend get married which made me feel all kinds of emotions. I was mainly so happy as i've been friends with her for 7 years (and her and her now husband have been together the whole time i've known her) but I was also scared by the fact my friends are NOW getting married which makes me feel a bit old, to be honest (ha!). Anyway, the wedding was so pretty and magical - I wish I could of attended the whole thing though!

I graduated from Falmouth University with a 2:1 in Journalism which I was so happy about. I haven't actually decided what I am going to do now I have degree but in the future I think I want to go into digital marketing or public relations but i'll see, not in a rush to find that job yet. The day though was the most amazing experience except it went so quickly *sob* and only lasted a few hours, but being able to wear a cap and gown for even half a day was so worth it.

Phew, that's all for now. What have you been doing?
