BLOGMAS #3 MY FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS FILMS

Watching Christmas films is definitely a must during this time of year, which suddenly appearing on every, single channel. On that lazy Sunday afternoon when you are relaxing by the fire, with the Christmas tree looking all pretty up in your living room, it is always lovely to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a Christmas film. My Favourite ones are ELF, The Holiday and the Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

ELF

Elf is a 2003 American Christmas comedy film directed by Jon Favreau and written by David Berenbaum. It stars Will FerrellJames CaanBob NewhartEd Asner, and Zooey Deschanel. The story is about one of Santa's elves who learns of his true identity as a human and goes to New York City to meet his biological father, spreading Christmas cheer in a world of cynics as he goes. This film is really funny, so much joy and laughter and it appropriate for all ages, a light hearted film to watch with friends and family!

THE HOLIDAY

The Holiday is a 2006 American Christmas-themed romantic comedy film written, produced and directed by Nancy Meyers. It stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet as two lovelorn women from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, who temporarily exchange homes to escape heartbreak during the holiday seasonJude Law and Jack Black co-star, with Eli WallachShannyn SossamonEdward Burns and Rufus Sewell playing key supporting roles.

This film will make you laugh, cry, question love itself, make you happy and make you sad. It will bring so many emotions, but put them all together and it creates this wonderful Christmas film. The music is amazing and the characters are all so different that it really captures the whole point of Christmas, bringing people together from complete opposites sides of the world.

HOME ALONE 2: LOST IN NEW YORK

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is a 1992 American Christmas family comedy film written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. It is the second film in the Home Alone series and the sequel to Home AloneMacaulay Culkin reprises his role as Kevin McCallister, while Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern reprise their roles as the Wet Bandits. Catherine O'HaraJohn HeardTim Curry, and Brenda Fricker are also featured.

The 'Home Alone' films are so well known, you would be daft not to have seen them. They all have the theme of the boy, Kevin McCallister, who comes from a large family, and the minute they go on holiday he is accidentally mislayed or forgotten by them. The second one, Kevin accidentally gets on the wrong flight at the airport and ends up in NYC. This film is full of jokes and laughter and definitely an all time classic! If someone wanted me to recommend a Christmas film, it would always be this one!
