Are All Youtubers Turning Into Authors?

*I am sorry if this post offends anybody; this is just my opinion of this and should be taken lightly. Of course you are all entitled to your own opinion, but please be nice. However, do not hesitate to comment below to tell me what you think about this.

I don't know about you, but I feel this year has been a craze that Youtubers have now become Authors, bringing out their own books. Of course, fair enough to them, they have received a HUGE following through their YouTube Channel, so creating a book would be a great thing to do, as you need a huge following to be a successful Author too. But on the other hand, don't you think it is just a massive money making scheme where they are targeting the social media talent to bring out books for their own benefit?

I know that there are many people out there that would absolutely die to get their work published. People have been trying for years and years to get their written work noticed and they are not even being considered for any publishing deal what so ever. These people are really passionate about being Authors of books and aspire to be one, so surely they should be bringing out books?

I am not saying Youtubers are not passionate about being Authors, because maybe they are, but this year I just feel that so many of them have brought or are bringing out books. Yesterday, ‘Fleur De Force’ announced that she was bringing out a book too, even though ‘Zoella’ and ‘Pointless Blog’ have brought/ are bringing out books this year. I feel that every one of them is just trying to follow the same bandwagon. Obviously, every Youtuber is different in what they are interested in so every book is different, but I still believe that if I was a successful Youtuber, I would want to create and do something that no one has done before, not follow everyone else and bring out my own book just because everyone else has. However, I absolutely love what they do on Youtube, I am a subscriber to all of them and I watch their videos regularly, they are all unique in their own ways and their content is really entertaining.

What do you think?
